A quick sketch I’d like to work more on soon. I suddenly felt inspired by animated film background paintings and this one ended up looking a lot like Beauty and the Beast.
Here’s the changes I planned in that previous paint over but this time implemented in UDK. Fog particles and light flares are the main additions.
I did a bit of a paint-over on this scene since I needed a new business card image. It’s a huge improvement on the look and feel.
This was a lot of fun. Falcons are bad-ass.
Painted a scene from Game of Thrones as a study. Original: http://www.vorticeonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/GOT-ep5-09.jpg
Moving along. Here, have a wall.
After a little touch up, here’s some textures.
Sculpted out some floor today.
So the project continues and I’m liking where it’s going. Here’s a finished door, I think it’s time to start making some walls and floors.
I decided it was time to start making a Darksiders homage because it just has an awesome art direction. Here’s the first asset.
I’m taking this project further, but here’s where I’m at right now.
Because dragons just need to be really, really big.
So I read Grimm’s “The Wonderful Musician” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wonderful_Musician. I thought the musician was an ass and a terrible protagonist, so I painted this to give a different perspective.
Been having fun painting lately; very excited to be improving.
